Hi all
I placed an order on Samsung.com for a black Note 8, unlocked version. My phone carrier is AT&T.
I've heard that unlocked version won't get LTE speed on att network.

If this is true, what's the best way to change my order to the note 8 for att (att version)?

I called their customer service twice and hold for over 70 minutes each time, no one answer so I gave up. I also sent them an email requested them to change to att version, no response yet.

Thanks

It will still get regular LTE. What it won't get is wi-fi calling, HD voice, etc.

Ah, thank you. Feel much better.
I have unlimited data/talk, so, I don't need wi-fi calling :-)

Wifi calling has nothing to do with your data. It is very useful when cell signal is low in your area and you have a strong Wifi connection. Then it uses your Wifi connection to route voice calls. Extremely handy for me since cell signal is weak where I live.

I just got an unlocked Note 8 and put my At&t sim from my S7edge in but initially not data. I set the APN and now get data but only H+ the most at places where I get LTE. I called and now they are saying that "After our investigation we have concluded that coverage at the reported location is limited and the difficulties you are experiencing are related to the service limitations". I think it is BS but has no place to go from here. Anyone can help? Anyone can tell me their "Set Preferred Network Type" setting?

Wi-Fi calling has nothing to do with data limits. just think if you are at somones house and they don't have signal then your screwed... No Wi-Fi calling=significantly reduced coverage in some cases.

Yes, it sounds like they are having a legitimate issue with coverage there.
