Ok I am confused I did read the threads. I plan on purchasing in full a note20 ultra and planned on doing it with my carrier Tmobile. But as I was reading the threads it looks like I can get some free air buds from purchasing from Samsung directly. Additionally, I have heard nightmare issues about getting unlocked phones from Samsung to work on Tmobile. So please tell me what the right choice is it says the promo on the Samsung goes until 21 August.

If you preorder from T-Mobile you'll get the same promotion. You just have to wait until you get the device to use the promo credit. You can also order direct from Samsung and choose the TMo variant if you're worried about things not working properly. I'm using the unlocked Note 10+ on TMo without issue though if that makes you feel better.

I just looked and of course the white isn’t shipping until 3 sep but plenty of the bronze ones.. ugh

I went with the mystic black , haven't had that color on cell phone in awhile, lot of people going with the bronze color

Some use that storage , I went with the 128gb which is fine for my needs .

One last question why get the higher storage if you can use a sd card on this model?

It really comes down to preferences. Some people like internal storage so they go with say 512 and don't use external storage like an SD card.

I have 20GB of music and another 80GB of movies on an 256GB SD Card that I just switch back and forth between my old phone and any new phone I get.
Then I also have a exact backup of my Galaxy S20+ on the SD card so I can restore that backup to the Note 20 Ultra when it comes on Wednesday :-)

I download a lot of movies for travel. Good when streaming isn't available. This will be the highest storage device I've owned [512 Ultra] and I'm looking forward to using it. I also like to download a lot of apps. I currently have 3 weather apps on my 64 GB Note 8 - I'd like more! I've never heard anyone say, "I wish this phone had less storage." I'm giddy thinking I'll never be able to max out the storage on this thing but by gosh darn, I'll try! Oh, I also have a 256 GB SD card for photos and documents. Thinking I'll upgrade to a 1 TB when the prices drop in a few months.

Honestly out of the major 4 carriers well 3 now unlocked Samsung phones are an issue on T-Mobile. All the features work including Wi-Fi calling and advanced messaging. Even the carrier version is almost true to unlock form if you exclude the carrier splash screen that you obviously get on the T-Mobile variant.

There are issue or there are not issues?

There ARE Issues with TMO/Unlocked or there aren't issues??

Are not. Although I accidently said are if you further read my statement it's clear to see I said there are no issues using unlocked on T-Mobile. Guess I shouldn't have replied to the thread so early in the morning without proof reading my reply lol.

What about messaging? This will be my first unlocked Samsung phone and I'm using it on t-mobile (planning on jumping ship to Verizon soon). Which messaging app is the most ideal for use on an unlocked note 20 ultra and Tmobile?

Would be the built in messaging app
