I want the Note 8 so bad. Note 7 owner so I'm going through Samsung. I am,tempted to get the unlocked version but I saw an article that said they did not get updates a quickly as the carrier models. Thoughts??

I feel repairs are done quicker with a carrier as far as updates go carriers are getting quicker.

Regardless of opinions on the carriers, most of which ultimately reflect a love/hate relationship, all provide updates much quicker and, generally........... sort of....... debugged

Verizon is the best reception in Denver so I am married to them though it would be great to have a Note without their logo.

My current N5 rocks a original Samsung back case as it had to be replaced after a crack and it looks fabulous with any carrier graffiti

Hurry up September 15!!!!

If you get an unlocked phone on Verizon you loose Advanced Calling, including Wifi calling. I use Wifi calling all the time when traveling overseas. Saves me a ton in India.

The unlocked version is also considered a non Verizon phone. They will give limited support if you get connectivity issues.

You also won't be able to get Insurance

Also, no Verizon Visual Voicemail on the plain unlocked version - if you use that feature.
