Unlocked phone won't work on Sprint?

Yes. Sprint is really strict about what it allows on the network.

Humm just thought of something will the N8 unlocked work on GSM network or only CDMA or both?
I'm with Cricket now a GSM network and have no interest in going back to a brand name carriers

Tks for posting but I absolutely don't trust any rep you find so many different stories, I do know from experience a sprint CDMA phone will work on a GSM network, cricket for example that's what I did with a sprint iPhone 7+
But would really like to verify the N8 is GSM compatible can't find any fax on Samsung website

Well looks like your rep was correct here is facts from Best Buy on the unlocked N8

I would check with Sprint first .. Truly. He may think it does which technically it does from a support standpoint (radios) but it doesn't mean Sprint will allow it.

From what my Samsung rep told me all the note 8 are unlocked and can work on any carrier
