Really liking this new Samsung! Updates are coming way faster than the past. I’m hoping this will spill over to the OS update.

This TE4 build is older than the TE6 build that has been rolling out to the global and SM-G98*U, USA, models in the last week. Only the Android security patch is newer.

[EDIT]
Interesting... whilst we have seen some USA Galaxy S20 phones receive the TE6 update with the camera autofocus fix and other goodies on their SM-G98*U models, those who have the SM-G98*U1 models are today receiving the older, TE4, build. Early reports suggest that this build does not have the coveted camera autofocus fix, Close-up zoom (Ultra only), improved fingerprint unlocking, etc; but they have received the June 2020 Android security patch.

So, it would appear that there is a 2 tier update system on the USA models of Galaxy S20's depending on the model number.

Just received on my US unlocked model with T-Mobile SIM.

Same here on my tmobile flashed to unlocked with Verizon sim. Don't think I've ever received security software 1st of the month :-)

Last couple of months we are developing a pattern on US unlocked model. Update on the first Monday of month just like pixel phones. I’m guessing Samsung planning to do the same for US unlocked models and that’s great. I received my May update on the first Monday of May and same on June.

Additional thoughts on my take of US Unlocked update scenario.

1. Samsung now doesn't wait for carrier certification just for pushing the security patches. Meaning they can push updates first Monday of every month just like the Pixel does. That's why irrespective of what SIM you have every US unlocked model is getting the security patch at the same time last month and this month.

2. For feature updates, looks like they have to wait for the carrier certification and the ATE6 is only on T-Mobile carrier variant and still not on all carriers. So may be we won't see that on the US unlocked model until all carriers have received the ATE6 update.

3. If point 2 is true, then if US carriers push out in the middle of month then will Samsung wait till next month security patch to push the update on US unlocked model or just push the firmware update middle of month has to be seen.

But overall I'm happy that at least the security patches are coming asap without waiting for useless US carriers.

Obviously this is just my observation based on limited pattern/data set.

My unlocked version on At&t received the update this morning as well, pretty impressed with how they are updating the last few months.
