Damn! I haven't even gotten the May update on my AT&T locked variant.

Same here on my AT&T locked S20 Ultra (SM-G988U).

I've been checking SamMobile for it too. I don't see the firmware for the "USC" product code that I have downloaded and installed manually in the past.

Looks like Samsung is really on top of the unlocked models this year and carriers are the ones now lagging behind.

Different strategy they are using. They are updating the security patches on the US Unlocked model every month on the first Monday just like Pixel.

In terms of firmware update, they are still lagging behind carrier versions. All carrier versions are getting ATE6 even though May security patch. But US Unlocked model is ATE4 firmware with June security patch.

I'm thinking once all US carriers get the ATE6, US unlocked model will get fixes from ATE6 next month along with July security patch.

I'm fine with this strategy since atleast we are getting the security patches on US unlocked model every month without any delay. For the firmware update it's a different story.

Unlocked firmware if has fixes they will address with security update , we won't get a separate firmware from what they give with security firmware, only Android version and really important fix

I switched my unlocked Samsung S20 Ultra (U1) to the U version for TMB to receive the camera update. Will decide what I want to do when the U1 finally has the camera update.

I'm not familiar with other companies, but LG/Sony/Motorola/Razer etc are better at rolling out updates?

No they suck, Samsung is much better than them especially with monthly security updates. LG/Motorola they all are horrible.

OnePlus is fast in terms of yearly Android update but Samsung is better than OnePlus in terms on monthly security updates.

Obviously if updates are important Google is the best option, rest all phones various other factors come into play. Which country, carrier and few other criteria like that.
