Unlocked S21 Verizon 5G UW

So when I went to purchase the device I talked to the Samsung representative online and they told me the unlocked version had the exact same bands as the Verizon model. Well 5g works no problem but when I went to an area with 5G Ultra Wide I didn't get the UW band.

I had another device with me that showed I was in the range of the ultra wide tower and I tried more than one. Is there a setting on my phone or do I just not have it with the unlocked version? If I knew that I would have got the Verizon one. Any help would be good. Thanks.

I don't know about the S21, but I have an unlocked Note 20 Ultra on VZW, and I did pick up the 5G UWB tower sitting on the tarmac at Atlanta Hartsfield jackson airport.

Last year the unlocked S20 base model didn't have the mmwave bands, only the S20+ and S20 Ultra had. For the base model S20, Verizon made a special version with mmwave.

This year not sure but didn't specify anything about this, so I'm guessing this year the base S21 might also have the mmwave bands.
