Best Buy has the option to buy the unlocked version... Not sure if to take a chance on it being that Samsung hasn't done a good job updating the unlocked version of the S7E. Anyone getting this one? I know an article on Sammobile came out a few weeks ago that Samsung stated they are vowing to give the unlocked models monthly security updates.

I'm on Verizon so I'm also wondering if that model is the same as the unlocked on (like apple does) and if it doesn't have any carrier branding.

my math could be wrong, but it was 915.99 for the S8+ full retail and then 715.92 if you spread it out over 24 months.

It also won't be available for pre-order until May 9th. So it seems it will be at least a few weeks after the phones are released to carriers. I think I am going to go with T Mobile. They are really good with updates...

I am go with the Carrier version (AT&T) this time around - I can always disable the bloat. Nougat is already out on the carrier S7's, but is now where to be seen on the unlocked versions, which is sad.

Have you seen it on the att site yet. I use att also. Wondering there price for full purchase.

I'm gonna go with the ATT version. Hopefully no drama this year with Best Buy. Sometimes if you are not getting activation and you are paying outright regardless of carrier model they tell you can't get the goodies. This is variable depending on which Best Buy you go to and how knowledgeable who you deal with is. Get there early because I'm wondering will I be eligible for the $100 off and the freebies. Every year there is always confusion about this. I normally buy my phones outright and just put my current sim card in. I was able to get the Gear S2 with the Note 7, but the year before with the Note 5 they wouldn't give me the $200 gift card without activation.

I might consider ordering or buying the unlocked version. Will it work with wifi calling with Tmobile?

Their website said "save "up to" $100" plus free gear. No other details about this "up to" $100 fine print.
Not sure if we'll get $100 + free gear.

It says Samsung will be the one shipping the free vr to you, so it looks like thats a Samsung promotion not best buy.

I'm in the middle of switching to T-Mobile from At&t so I was hoping to get an unlocked version.

Anybody with a Note 7 remember that crap At&t pulled with the box? Lol...

Yeah at&t does that to a lot of Samsung phones. I don't see the need for that.

ATT is horrible with their boxes. Hopefully they got the message last year. Many including myself lit them up on twitter. The crappie ATT box ruins the experience for all of 5 minutes. But that's 5 minutes I can never get back. Lol!
