Unlocked Samsung Galaxy S25+ sending MMS messages delayed or failed at sending

So, I'm living a bit of a nightmare and would appreciate a second opinion. I have two unlocked S25+ purchased new from samsung.com on verizon networks. Both are experiencing the same issues (sending MMS messages are delayed sometimes minutes sometimes 4+ hours, sometimes forever). One phone has worse delays than the other for some reason.

I've had 3 hours of calls with Verizon and two hours of calls with Samsung. They want me to drop off a ubreakifix and then after that will probably tell me to send in the phones to samsung, but there's no way this is realistically a hardware problem on 2 separate phones... right?

Everything else works, SMS, RCS, calls, data, inbound MMS.

After scouring AC forums some more I did find someone saying you check your APN, and sure enough MMSC is showing as blank, so eureka maybe I just need to manually input correct verizon APN settings since there's some glitch between unlocked samsung phones and verizon sims, not correctly throwing APN settings.

Problem is, apparently verizon made a deal with google where APN settings are locked whenever it has a verizon sim installed (all change settings are greyed out).

Any thoughts and advice are welcome here. Are APN settings my culprit? And if-so, how can I change these?

Thank you for your help. Just boring looking around the internet this issue seems to be related to any unlocked Samsung phone with Verizon, as opposed to specifically a s25 issue.

I have a unlocked S25+ with Verizon and have not experienced what you are seeing. I have seen what you are describing in the past, but not for a couple of years.

Thank you so much for the reply!

I just went to the Verizon store and had both phones switched from physical sim to esim and thought that this fixed it (despite not fixing the APN address and port which are still empty). However, unfortunately it's still not fixed and most MMS messages on 2 phones are still either delayed or never sending.

Any advice on how it might have been fixed in the past? I tried getting a random mint sim which allows me to add-edit APN, but it doesn't actually save when I switch back sim cards.

I'm sorry, I don't remember me doing anything. It seems to me it may have cleared up after and update.
BTW, what messaging program are you using? It is strange that 2 phones are acting the same way.

Sorry I can't be any help.

I'm using Google messages. But same thing happens with Textra.

The MMSC and port are blank in the APN, so it's like it's not reading full data from the sim card. I can't find a force APN app or solution that still overrides Verizon lockout though...

You already mentioned RCS is working fine. Are the outbound MMS messages primarily being delayed to iPhone users, or others who may not have turned on RCS chat features? What about group messages where everyone is definitely on RCS?

All RCS is fine and all sms is fine regardless of who it's being sent to. All inbound MMS is also fine.

However all outbound MMS (whether it's group chat messages or a 1v1 non-rcs gif or screenshot) is delayed or never sends. Seems to happen more with larger data size messages (gifs etc) but still happens with plain text too especially on the "worse" phone.

One phone is on 0-2 hour delays. Other phone is 0-5.5 hour delays. Sometimes both phones send messages that never send successfully via MMS.

I have an unlocked S25 Ultra purchased directly from Samsung. I am on Verizon and use eSim. And I use Textra. I have had no issues, I'm glad to say. Not sure it's of any help to you but for comparison, here are screenshots from my APN screen.

Did all 3 grabs attach? I'm only seeing 1 pic but the links for the other 2 are there.

More than likely Verizon's fault but what phone did you come from?

You ninja'd posted. What the hell is dun in APN Type.. It should be default, mms, supl.

Also you have no MMS port set, should be 80.
Also not seeing the MMS Address (MMSC).

Edit, actually im not sure with 5G switchover port is still needed.
MMSC should be though: http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms

Did you manually add that APN info or did some of it auto populate?

Not sure what "ninja'd posted" means??

I have manually changed nothing. But it's all working fine for me.

Dont mind me. Just having a durp durp moment thinking you were the OP. Ninja posting is when a post (usually OP) is made while you are already replying but yours gets posted after
