For almost 3 years I had been using my Samsung S3 GT-i9305 Android 4.4.4 as an unlocked phone. On day the phone crashed and on reboot it requested the "SIM network unlock PIN". The phone is running stock Samsung firmware and is not rooted.
The phone was purchased from Hong Kong seller already unlocked. The phone still has the carrier logo on it: Bouygues Telecom (France).
Could it be the handset has some how become network locked again?
I have done much searching with no luck finding any previous examples.
If this is the case I suppose I just obtain an unlock code for US$32.
Could it be another fault?
Doesn't appear to a faulty sim reader.
Thanks for your help
