Unlocking a LGE LM-X320

Somehow my wife locked herself out of her phone (even though she never set it up to lock). She can receive calls but it asks for a login/password to use the phone or make calls. As I said, the phone is a LGE LM-X320.

Is there anyway to unlock it w/o deleting everything? Any suggestions?

Unfortunately you will have to perform factory reset in recovery

I am using the directions here to do a factory reset: https://www.fonecope.com/unlock-lg-phone-forgot-password.html
but it wants a password to turn to phone off.

Has this phone always belonged to your wife, or was it used/refurbished? It might be asking for the Google account/password of a previous owner, which was never properly removed from the phone.

I was a bit too quick. I was able to wipe it clean. Thanks alot.
