I don't think the ATT version supports the same frequencies as Verizon.

No.

#1. Verizon is CDMA and ATT is GSM
#2. Verizon LTE is not the same frequency as ATT

You'll need a Verizon one to use it on their system. The same doesn't apply in reverse because it's a "world phone" and you can use the GSM functionality of a Verizon phone on GSM carriers. But not GSM to CDMA.

So, if you're going to pay full price I guess its better to buy the Verizon G2 and then use it on AT&T?
