unlocking is sluggish

I just got the note 3 yesterday and only have android central installed yet there is a half seconds delay from when I push the power button and when it lights up... Any solutions?

Same. And when I unlock there is another small delay. Nothing huge but it is noticeably slower than anything else on this phone.

It's just odd. Thought it'd be faster than my gs4, not slower. In most other areas it's fine

Also downloading and running: app catche cleaner helps to. My phone is blazing fast now and I still manage to run it in power saver mode

This may sound stupid, but try turning off your unlock sound if it is checked. I accidentally turned mine on one day and noticed a slight lag when unlocking.
If you already have it off, I got nothin'.

Mine started doing this as soon as I put in a micro SD card. Didn't find a solution for it and just lived with it lol

Yeah this is the only time this phone lags, I feel like it's more of an Android thing though because my HTC phones (granted older phones) did that too.

When I press the power button to turn it on and it takes a second, I feel like the phones saying "WHAT NOW?!" ... makes me feel bad O

I was told about this the other day. I ask the same question. I never got a answer. Im not noticing anything wrong you can toggle on and off the developer options so its not like its permanent. Just dont mess with any more settings than what my pic indicates. Though every time you open your camera it rests the transition animation scale back to 1x so you always have to go back into developer options to change if it if you want to keep the speed increase. I notice a dramatic improvement. All it does it tell your phone do it now as fast as you can, I dont care about waiting for pretty animation to slow me down
