Unlocking problem

I have owned my Maxx HD for less than a month. I did drop it once and now I can't unlock it. All other phone functions are working...Help! Reps at store just want to sell me a new one as I had no insurance on it. :'(

So are you saying the touchscreen just doesn't work any more? If you can't unlock, I'm assuming you can't get to any of the phone's functions apart from answering a call--is that correct?
