Unlocking the SIM

I was using this phone through contract but realized I unfortunately couldn't keep up with the prices. I never completely paid off the phone so contacting T Mobile for an unlock code can't happen. Is there a way you can pay to get a code so I can use this phone with a different company?

You have to pay for an unlock code. When I did mine I found a place on Ebay. You have to search for the best deal. This was 10 months ago but at that time it cost about 15-20 dollars when I bought it on ebay. But it worked.
