Unlocking when Edge Panel active

Hello all

My daughter has discovered that when the edge panel is active and you swipe on the lock screen the phone unlocks and you can use the phone as normal. When edge panel not active this doesnt happen.

Anyway to have the edge panel only when in the phone unlocked and not on lock screen.

What security method you using ?
I have the fingerprint and password set-up so if u touch any icon on edge screen it prompts you to unlock either fingerprint or password

I have face and fingerprint for unlocking. Just turned edge panel back on an it seems to be asking for fingerprint now when on lock screen.
