Going to give them a call this evening if I haven't heard anything before then. If they tell me the phones weren't delivered I'll be at the Verizon around the corner from my office first thing in the morning. I'll deal with the $50 Best Buy gift cards later.
Just got back from my local Best Buy(had to pick up my Mini from the GeekSquad anyways) and asked if they would for sure have them tomorrow. They told me yes and I then asked about an early purchase which she immediately refused. She said I could show up first thing and definitely have one because they only had 4 or 5 pre-orders.
I got a call about 3PM from BBY to set up an appointment. 1PM tomorrow and I'll be rid of this BlackBerry Pearl forever!
I finally got my phone call around 4:00 today to set up an appointment. I called my store around 2:45 and they hadn't gotten anything yet, according to their systems, but would call when they did. Really didn't take much longer but did get a call for an appointment.
Really don't want to have to deal with them, but if it gets me the phone, then I'll just suck it up.

I called around 2:00 and the guy I spoke with said they didn't have the phones in yet and therefore couldn't guarantee I would have my phone tomorrow because "anything can happen between now and then." I respected that answer and he recommended I call back tomorrow. Literally 10 minutes later he called me back and told me the shipment had just arrived and asked when I wanted to make an appointment to pick it up. He also said that they could do the upgrade in store and I could then open and activate the phone at home.
That's good news for sure.
Did he happen to mention how many pre-orders he had? Just curious, since most people that's mentioned how many there were at their respective stores say there weren't many on the lists at all.
We haven't received a phone call yet to set up an appointment tomorrow, so the wife called Best Buy to find out what's up. Turns out they did receive the phones but didnt have enough pre-orders to warrant appointments and for us to just show up. Problem is, we're doing a family plan, and since she's already a Verizon customer, I'm just going to be added to her plan. And she can't get to BB till after work. Which means I'll have to wait till tomorrow evening before I can play with the phone, boo! 
He made it seem like he didn't have a lot of preorders, but he wasn't sure how busy they were going to be tomorrow. All I know is that I preordered at 2 on 4/18 and I was third on the list. (This is for a CT Best Buy)
I called my Best Buy at around 5 PM today after not hearing from them. They said the phones had arrived and to come in the morning when the store opens. Not very helpful but at least not bad news. Hopefully I can swing by there first thing tomorrow and get it without any hassle.
No preorder news but I walked into best buy hoping they would have accessories early, I asked the girl working if they have anything for the incredible and she says "no do you have the phone already?" I say yes and ask when they are going to get it and she says "sometime around summer" I smiled and walked away
Is anyone else a little honked that we were able to pre-order a day earlier at BB, but really can't get the phone until the 29th? I know they never promised anything else, but neither did VZW - and they're shipping earlier. I guess it's a live-and-learn kind of thing! Thanks for letting me vent! : ) All will be well when I have that phone in my hot little hands! LOL
Another couple of days won't kill me. Especially since I don't have to wait 7 weeks for my $100 back from the mail in rebate. I'll be happy as long as I spend less than 15 minutes in Best Buy tomorrow and they don't try to upsell me some stupid phone setup BS.
Not to be negative, but apparently if you preorder from VZW you get the $100 instantly also.....
And I agree with you about BestBuy. Not really looking forward to dealing with any BS. just want them to sign me up and I'll take the phone home

Its Best Buy, oh they have to be confirming my appointment to pick up my Incredible at 9:30 tomorrow.....
WRONG, they were calling to tell me that they DIDN'T get the phone in, and that I shouldn't bother coming in at 9:30, and to wait until they call me and have them in store.
all i can say is thats F'ing INCREDIBLE!!!
