Don't flame me for this, but I think I have unrealistic expectations for the camera. Pics look great on my phone but often come out soft when I look at them on a computer screen. Granted not exactly the same shots, but you can get the idea here. 2 with my phone and 2 with my Sony A6300. I know I shouldn't expect the phone camera to take the same quality pics as a real camera, but they are kinda not that sharp.

I’m guessing that this is simply because all photographic images, whatever the size of the original film or sensor, have limits to how much you can enlarge them. Try enlarging your camera images to the same extent as your phone ones.

No, that's not it. It's a 50mp picture. The phone pic is actually about twice the resolution of the Sony camera.

Look at the size of the lens on your phone and the distance it is from the sensor. Compare that to your camera. The amount of gathering , bending and shaping of light that little package has to do to get any usable picture is incredible. Then comes the software to polish it, admittedly it can be heavy handed at times but usually does a decent job.
Long story short, if you are expecting your phone's camera to compete with almost any recent stand alone camera, you will be disappointed
Not saying you won't get any surprisingly good shots but I wouldn't count on it.
