Unreasonable screen battery drain

This phone is nice but the battery life has been miserable I've had it for a month and yesterday I was at 4% battery with only 2 hours of screen time and the battery screen says the screen is always using 33% of the battery. I have turned brightness to low and set timeout to 15 seconds and its still the same thing. I also wiped the cache partition and charged the battery overy night with the phone off and nothing changed.

Do I have a defective screen that is using too much current? What can I do about this? I used to have the moto maxx and I never had an issue with it, easily made it through a day with much more use and had half the battery left at night.

Does the screen go dark? The turbo has a sensor that illuminates the screen when it sees motion. If you don't have your phone in a case it could be seeing motion around you or in your pocket.

There's something else going on... My screen is usually close to 60%of total drain and I can get 5.5 hours of screen on time

If the screen was on in my pocket I think the screen on time would be jacked up.

If there is an issue how do I express it to warranty services? Won't they just say battery life depends on the user

I think you have apps or something else draining your battery. Check the other percentages of use. Don't know if this helps but here's my screen shots from just a second ago...

I've been browsing on the internet using my phone for quite a bit. The building network has been down all morning. I usually get home after work with about 75 to 80% left
