I am a noob when it comes to rooting. I have a Mac with OSX and I have tried to use unrevoked3 on my mac but when I plug in my Evo (running 2.2 and software version 3.7) the program just stays on "waiting for device. Plug phone in and enable USB debugging" which I have done. According to everyone else, the program begins automatically but for me there is no response. What do I need to do next?

Yes it is in charge only and I have tried using the mount as disk drive option and the sync option with no changes. Any idea? I have done a terminal script to show connected devices and my computer doesn't list my phone.

Yes my USB port works because I am able to charge, mount as a disk drive and load files to my SD card via USB. If the port was bad none of those options would work. However when I try to use unrevoked, it stays on the "plug phone in and turn on USB debugging screen" like I said in my previous posts. If you don't know what is wrong please don't respond because I would rather brick my evo. Thank you!

I'm trying to help you out by replying... to figure out what IS wrong. Try re-downloading unrevoked and try restarting your computer.

Make sure that the "Do this by default" or whatever it's called option is checked. I had trouble with mine until I selected that.
