When I first did this my camera didn't work, but then I rebooted and it works great! Haven't had a chance to try tethering but I did get wireless tethering installed.

Now to try SetCPU...

Which wireless tethering app did you use?

And can anyone point me in the right direction for the step by step process to install custom roms using unrevoked?

I am trying to get the driver installed and i am trying the way shown HERE and it is not working. I have uninstalled doubletwist and htc sync yet it still wont accept the driver in USB drivers in my android SDK. I have no idea what I am doing wrong

May be you need to delete all drivers, so when you hook up the phone it will ask found new device?

I ran unrevoked3 in less than 10 mins.

Didn't delete anything.. Wireless tether works like a champ.

Anyone notice better battery life after running this?

It does not wipe the phone or impact any installed apps, data, etc.

For those having issues be sure to uninstall HTC Sync first. I did NOT need to uninstall unrevoked or Superuser nor did I need to DL the OTA update first.

Still nothing. It won't install drivers for "ADB" listed under other devices. What am I doing wrong?

Use the driver in this post on the last line. Click on he link and look at the very top line

Got it! Used the alternative drivers provided by unrevoked.

I installed the drivers on my computer and I try to run the HBOOT USB on the phone and it keeps saying image not phone, then it restarts then when the reflash program on the computer tries to read it is says the communication failed. Help me please someone!

I think I had the same issue, I had to un-install HTC Sync and PdaNet and then tried again and it worked..

I took them off already.......and in the middle of me typing it and the 100th time of trying it finally works! hahahaha

Backing up my data onto my SD Card, then gonna put wireless tether and shootme back on this mofo!

I finally got my root back!!! I had lost it on the OTA. This was a painless process. Only thing I did wrong was I forgot I had the HTC sync program on my machine. It was stalling on the reboot process. After I removed it, it worked like a charm. No more than 8-10 minutes total. I'm back to wireless tether and underclocking when the screen is off.

No, still crxxpy (i.e sucky) as before

I installed the Android USB drivers via these instructions, public:windows_hboot_driver_install [RootWiki] , turned on the USB debugging, then I ran Unrevoked3 and the phone rooted just fine. Wireless Tether is working great for me.

Root has nothing to do with battery life, performance, etc so it will be exactly the same after root. If you're looking to increase battery life you'll need to use a custom ROM that has enhancements included.

This was very easy. Im glad unrevoked is here. Im was used to modding with windows mobile but the past 2 years i havent cuz i had Blackberry.
