Unroot before 2.2?

I know this has been asked million times. Just want to make sure.

I know I will loose root with the official update.

But do I need to unroot and delete any root based apps before I DL and install the update?

I did. It was easy, and since you will NOT be rooted after the OTA there is no reason to stay rooted - especially if you are using easy root.
