Hi there,
I've ordered my n5 and so am preparing to sell my SGS2. It's currently rooted, on the stock firmware (I've done OTA updates since I got it new, so it has never had a custom ROM). I rooted it about 6 months ago, by flashing the Jeebo kernel following this guide. I now want to completely clean the device in order to sell it, but am a novice with Android, so am not totally sure how to do this correctly.
From what I can gather from sources such as:
this
and this, I need to download my stock ROM and flash using Odin.
As I stated in the title, the phone is locked to O2 (UK) and is the 16GB black model (if that makes any difference). I checked the CSC which is 'I9100XEULS5' and the PDA which is 'I9100XWLSW' and gather that I need the corresponding file from here (I have started downloading 'XEU-I9100XWLSW-20130530173418.zip', is that the right one?). My confusion is also coming from the fact that my device is locked- on the blog post I linked, people in the comments were mentioning needing unlock codes after following the guide... I was wondering whether it would be best to just unroot by flashing a new kernel or using the 'OTA RootKeeper' method which I have seen elsewhere, but am not sure if this is the way to do it.
Can someone please point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Dan
