unsuccessful app updates

A few days ago I was trying to install Kona's Crate from Amazon Appstore. It appeared to download fine but when I hit install, a message came up that it did not install. Same thing happened with an app update. Then I went to the market to do some updates, and every one failed. From the notification bar, I tapped the failed update and it said "unable to install to USB storage or SD card". So I tried moving the apps in question back to phone storage, and they were able to update. I moved them back to the SD card, they all work properly, and I have been able to install apps since this problem (except for Kona's Crate). Anyone experience anything like this before, or have any ideas? Thanks.

More updates today. Apps installed on the phone will update, but the ones on the SD card will not. Has this not happened to anyone else? It seems it must be an SD card problem, but I don't know what could have caused it all of the sudden.
