I shudder when I see all of the applications that are running on my phone. How do I get rid of the non-vital applications? How do I know which ones are truly vital to the phone's operation?

To find out which preinstalled apps are safe to disable, I suggest doing a Google search for "Galaxy S3 safe to disable." You should be able to find a number of threads in various forums from people who make lists of apps that can be disabled.

But whatever you do, do not​ disable Download Manager, unless you don't want to be able to install apps from Google Play.
