I'm very careful when I lightly and QUICKLY touch the screen to capture an image.
Often I will wind up with 20 images when all I wanted was one.
I can't figure out what I'm doing to initiate the burst mode - or if it is just a firmware bug. (5.1.1)

I might add that my husband has the exact same problem with the Samsung S6. Clearly this is a feature that Samsung should do away, perhaps giving us an option to turn off burst capture when we don't want it.

I do have a glass screen protector, from Verizon, on my Note 4.

The S6 has exactly the same burst mode as the Note 4 - no on or off - it's always there on long press.

Bust is meant to work like that. Long press will initiate the bust mode. You need to just touch and let go.

Are you doing what I was doing on my S7 - holding down the volume button by mistake? If so try setting the volume buttons to do something else in settings (like zoom).

Under Settings-Display is increase touch sensitivity turned on? If so perhaps that setting is allowing the screen to detect "touch" early because you're hovering your finger over the shutter button prior to shooting. That's the only other thing I can think of . .
