I was experiencing this ANNOYING problem for about 2wks or so and I scoured the net in search of a solution, but came up with nothing. I listen to music on my phone as I travel about town by bus and it just seemed to happen more and more frequently. I brought it up with a co-worker and to which he responded that it was the UP App (works with the UP band by Jawbone). I didn't totally agree, but after troubleshooting with Sprint tech support I decided to remove the app. Voila my phone plays music endlessly until I stop it now. I checked the reviews on Google Play and did come across another Galaxy S3 user with this same issue and he resolved it by also removing the app. Don't waste your time removing it and re installing it, I tried that and it doesn't work. The app simply needs to be updated with a fix for this problem.
Just thought I pass this info along to any fellow Galaxy S3 users that also have the UP band.
