I have just seen Update agent app on my galaxy nexus. Never installed one. Icon is green Android. Someone knows what this is?

I see it on my galaxy nexus too. According to apps it's version 2.0.4333
A google search says that is part of the anti theft software ftrom Avast AV

Have you installed Avast for android?
Update Agent may have came from Avast installation, or when Avast asks you to download it for anti-theft protection.
The green icon might be caused by icon corruption.

Yup, Was Avast in my case.
Launch the Avast App, Select 'Setting' (top-right button)
Scroll all the way to the bottom and select 'avast! Anti-Theft removal wizard'.
'Fix Issue' will remove the 'Update Agent' if it is installed.
