Update and Gear app won’t open...

Everything was fine with Gear app connecting to my Grear 3, until today. The app won’t even open now. Tried uninstalling and installing, etc. Nothing works. My watch is now in stand alone mode. Any one else have this issue?

I just got my S3 Frontier the other day. Its Non carrier, from Best Buy and doesnt have the 4g lte. My note 8 just got a big update the other day before I got the watch. No issues with mine and accessing gear
