Update Android 5.0

Yes, but only for Spain according to your link.

Yes, however it would probably work in other regions too. I'm still waiting for the US one. When the KitKat update first arrived it was first released in Columbia and people from other regions flashed it, and they said that it worked.

Upgrading as we speak. excited, hoping that the update breaths new life in the tablet:)

If you go through this link at [Official Lollipop 5.1.1] Note 10.1 SM-P600 DOJ3 (Mega & Android File Host) Fast Link

you will see the upgrade is now available in Russia also. I don't think we have to wait long if you live in the United States. I would recommend you try to upgrade through Kies3 as that is usually the first place you can download upgrades before OTA. Keep checking as I expect maybe sometime this month if the past is a clue.

SamMobile posted a stack of new 5.1.1 releases for the p605 series. I'm still happy with the Nordic rom that I flashed but there is a compatible newer German rom on the list.......

This update is embarrassingly slow. Glad we are getting it but I will be moving on to the Pixel C no matter what. I'm done with Sam-droid and what entails from that mix-mash. This decision came about after my recent switch from the S5 to the Nexus 6P. What a difference and I will never go back.

Just got on and I see it has downloaded. Gotta make sure all my goodies are backed up before I install. What a wait!

Plugged in to Kies to back up my tablet when I saw this and it popped up and said the update was available...

Completing the backup then I'll let it update...

I'm backing up all of my stuff too before I update. I just can't resist at this point. And I figure if there's some major bug, then I can probably roll back to KitKat with Odin (at least, I hope I can).

The one thing I would be interested in hearing is if there are any Bluetooth bugs like there was with the initial Lollipop update on Note Pro. I know that they fixed that, but just to be safe. I don't use Bluetooth much, but would be interested to know in case I ever need it.

Mine sat at the Samsung screen for what seemed like way too long but it did finally move on to optimizing apps. I had to do the ota while plugged into the wall, it wouldn't update through kies on my Mac, possibly because it was only a little over 50% charge.

Full process to download OTA and do update and give you back the tablet takes approximately 45 minutes (give or take a few)....

Did the update and so far, everything looks great. One thing; if you're having problems with brightness, I found that my auto brightness got turned on after the update, so turn it off if you had it like that before. But for now, here's a screenshot. I'll post more later.

I tried out Photo Note (part of the new S Note), which was surprisingly effective. I scanned the back of my Winn-Dixie card and perfectly erased the barcode and some of the words. :p

Action Memo is also now merged into S Note, and you can finally disable Evernote and other apps.

Also, they got lazy with the Camera app... it's still the same as it was on KitKat and Jelly Bean. I was at least expecting a new interface, but they just left it as it was. That's one of the only things that hasn't changed.

Well, I must say, if there's one thing I do NOT like about this update, it's the new stock keyboard.

It removed some functionality that I really miss. I can no longer hold down on the letter keys to put down symbols, and the clipboard button is completely gone. You can't copy multiple things and then view and paste them all from the clipboard anymore. That was a really useful and great feature, and I'll really miss that. :( To me, that's way better than having a Ctrl button and cursor keys. NEVER MIND! I found the clipboard. See my second post below.

I wonder if I could sideload the keyboard from KitKat onto this new software, because I can't adjust to this new Samsung keyboard. Otherwise, everything else from Lollipop has been fantastic. :D

Also, they removed the Smart Scroll feature, but I never used that, so no loss for me.

I looked at those keyboards and they look nice, but don't have the clipboard feature that the old stock keyboard had. Literally no third-party keyboard seems to have that feature. I did find this app called Clipper that seems to accomplish the job okay. The only thing is that it's not as convenient as just tapping a button on the keyboard. I was going to try and sideload the old stock keyboard, but it looked like it was going to install it over the new one, and I wasn't sure if that was going to cause problems.
