Update coming to HTC EVO 4G LTE

Re: Update coming to HTC evo 4g lte

I got the sprint zone update also after I refreshed it. But it says "account data could not be updated at this time, please try again later" I got to the link for the update and it tries to take me to a website that wont load. Please let me know how to post a pic so I could share.

I have to wait for the update to be rooted anyway. But I'm right there with you guys, been wanting this for months.

Same thing is happening to me.

Same here. Though this could just be a Sprint Zone update. usually an OS update will show up in your task bar on its own, not as a part of Sprint Zone.

It's not for the newest PRL, which I have already. So there is that...

Re: Update coming to HTC evo 4g lte

Since you mentioned SprintZone, I just fired it up for the first time in a while. It looks very different from the last time I used it.

I went into SprintZone > Help > My Device > Wireless & Networks , where it says that my 4G is ON | Not Connected.

It warns that leaving 4G radio on when out of range can drain the battery.

Luckily I'm hundreds of miles from any Sprint 4G service, so I want 4G to be off at all times.

Unluckily, I'm too dumb to know how to turn it off.

When I go into "4G Settings" I can't seem to figure out how to turn off the 4G radio. All it says is "Network provider" "Sprint", then "IP address" with no value.
Clicking on "Sprint" does nothing.

How do I disable 4G? I suppose I could get a widget for my home screen to toggle it off...but there must be another way.

Go into "network mode" & disable LTE

you can't. you need the msl number and go into ##DATA# and mess with the settings in there. its not worth. it doesnt save you much from what I have read

Edit, sorry
thats for LTE only haha, my brain isnt running so hot
