Update finally pushing?

Got a printout from t-mo today outlining the update, thought I would share the details.

GPS fix
Exchange inbox fix
Contact Sync fix
Sims 3
Battery Indicator fix
Calendar alert chime
Samsung Media Hub
plus 40 bug fixes, ui changes and updates.

Have you noticed what the other "40 bug fixes and UI changes" are?

Has anyone noticed a change to gmail after the update. When you click on gmail and you see your list of emails, there used to be little boxes to the left of the emails so you can check them and delete multiple emails at once. After the update my little boxes are gone. Is this the case for everyone?

I ditched this device and got myself a G2, however I should seriously check it out, I have been flashing it with unofficial leaks and its about time it got a legit firmware fix, and... maybe some Froyo?

Sent from my T-Mobile G2

My friend has the Vibrant here in NYC and he checked for update and told there is no update yet. Should he go to T-Mobile or when is the update rolling out?

I haven't gotten the update yet myself so no I don't know what the fixes are. I do know that one of the big things is an option for voice input on the Swype keyboard and apparently an update for swype itself. Some of the other things I think are the "lag fixes" in the TW ui such as fixing the speed long lists load (IE: Contacts, Messages) and things like that.

Hopefully we'll get a changelog with everything... I sure do love changelogs.

hello all, new here from crackberry. well I had an update for my vibrant when I turned it on earlier and it went smooth. only thing is I thought the market version was supposed to be 2007? mine went from 1713 to 1714, was this a prerequisite?

I'm not sure, but I do know that my device updated the Market to 2007 and I have not gotten the update yet (Central NC).

Nope and i'm upset with this phone already it freezes Pandora crashes i'm in dire need for a update hurry up Froyyo 2.2 and for waiting this long i hope we could get update after that which is being spoken about.

Got the JI6 update but still looking for the market. How do you find the version number you are on?

from home, go settings, applications, manage applications ( I had to hit menu again and click filter then click all, it gives the option to display 3rd party, running and all) scroll down and click on market and the version # is at the very top.

I got tired of waiting so I used the Kies method to update last night, and everything is working well. I will see if I can figure out what all was updated and let you know, but as of right now it is just the obvious fixes like GPS, Swype, MediaHub, Camcorder app link, Process manager, contacts/messages load quicker, battery meter is actually accurate now (plus when you have it on a charger there is a separate one that gives you exact percentage of charge), and the signal display seems more accurate too. Oh, and Angry Birds finally shows up in the market :-)

I got my tmobile update this morning. Firmware updated to '2.1-update1', market 'Version 1714', build J16.

I believe I just received my update @ 3:57 PM, it went thru the whole process (very smoothly).

My only question is, where do you look to verify it was update or the version number. I understand this isn't Froyo.

Thanks in advance. I'm still learning all the ins and out of the wonderful world of Android and I'm loving it.

Almost forgot to say, my location is Johnson City, TN (37604).

Hi
menu/settings/about phone and it will say near bottom eclairJI6? or something like that
