Update great, but having don't understand the now bar.

How does this work? Does it only work on certain apps? I'm not getting notifications from Gmail or Google messages even though all notifications are turned in in the apps

The Now Bar is just a 'fancy' way of showing some running app activities (not notifications!). You will see timers, alarms, directions (while actively navigating), sports scores, etc. but it won't show any 'normal' notifications like GMail; those are still displayed just in the notification bar as they've always have.

If notifications for GMail are failing, try logging out of your account and logging back in. That will force a re-sync with the account.

This is how it is in my Fold 6 which will be the same as the s24 with contents hidden just icons but only sports and you tube I've gotten so far
