Somewhere in this thread someone said they turned off the phone, popped out the battery for a bit, reinstalled the battery and then turned the phone on and they were able to get the notification to reappear.

Thanks, I tried rebooting but I didn't remove the battery.... will do.

Installing this update caused my batt life to suffer again. Partial wake locks thru the roof and not sleeping again. I swear these phone are possessed or need a break-in period on new OS's or patches

I agree, my battery has done the same thing since the update.

I did a normal shutdown and appears to have dropped. We shall see over the next day though.

also SMS seems goofy now. A few times I have had issues where the send button is greyed out. If I back out and go back in to retype it works then.

I think the break in period is a legit reason. Out the box battery life was okay and slowly got better... Updated to .3 and battery life got worse but slowly after a week was getting better and better each day... Then last night I updated to .6 and my battery life was back down 20% again today...
