Update is ready

Just saw this tweet from Droid-Life. Checked on my phone and it is up and going as I type, thought many of you having problems would like to know.

the update is 6.11.748.en.US


Edit: Those new to the android game: Settings>About Phone>System Updates and it will come up automatically

Unfortunately I am not rooted so I cant remove it from the /cache folder.

Not sure why it doesnt show a progess, most others do in the status bar but if you go vack to the check for updates screen it should tell you that an update is in progess and that it will let you know when it is done.

*crosses fingers* that this finally eliminates that stupid SIM card authentication error.

EDIT 2: It's showing progress now, just took a couple minutes.

I have a feeling that this is many, including my own, first android update. For all those who had BBs and feature phones until now.
Best part of this is how this is pretty quick to fix and improve the phone, if only ics could come sooner :-!

Just like on Blackberry there is no guarantee that an upgrade will actually improve things

Just got the update in Chicago. Everything went smoothly.

My update messed up my camera. It won't open. Not even if i use zoom fx. All I get is a blank screen.

I had to ask for mine, but it's on there now. Checking camera...I'm using the .10 Zoom fx, too. All is well. Move your finger!

Just updated. Seems to work fine on my RAZR. Network seems to connect slightly faster. Not really sure if there are any improvements from my standpoint
