Update (It's official) Oreo being announced 8/21 after the eclipse.

All the tech blogs are advising that if you want the final version NOW, enroll in the beta program and you'll get Oreo (final) almost immediately. Did it earlier this morning and immediately got the 950MB download.

This is not the same build number as DP4 (OPP4.170623.014)

I got the update this morning. Nothing too exciting to me. I feel like i'm missing something but thinking there are just a lot of features missing on the Nexus 5X from the Pixel phones. My only real complaint is this Android System notification icon that won't go away. It's telling me two apps are running in the background. Anyone know how to disable the icon?

It's just a notification to make you aware of the background running apps. It will go away on its own after "not too long" or until something else comes up and starts running.

Thanks, I hope it does. Before, I used to have separate notifications for both apps when you pulled down the notification but nothing in the top bar. Now it's like it combined the two but put the icon in the bar which is the thing annoying me.
