How do I get the new market update? Do I really want to update market? What are the new features besides movie rentals?

There is a thread already on the fourm about this, try a search and it weill anwser all your questions.
All the other thread says is that a bunch of people can't get it even after trying every suggestion in the thread. So... no big deal. No one yet knows how to force it. I still have the old one too and can't seem to do anything to trigger an update. I gave up.

I know it can be updated via installing from an external (leaked) source. But the Market itself doesn't seem to want to do it.

Someone posted you open manage applications, open market then clear data and force stop. Then open Market and updates to new one. I did this and works.

Yeah, I did that. About 5 times. With and without a reboot/pwr-down/restart. Never worked for me (and many others).

That is weird. Hope it worked for me. My Market version is 2.3.6. Is that the new one?
