Update new HTC camera app or not?

The new camera app (23 June, I believe?) is getting hammered in reviews. Are folks updating this app or not? I'm leary based on all the negativity.

If you are talking about the update from the market, you won't even notice a difference. At least I don't.

I'm referring to the HTC camera app update in the Google Play Store. Majority are not at all happy, re: photos more blurry, loss of features, etc. I have held off updating.

Yeah that's the one I meant. I still remember when it was called the market and have lapses. It is not a biggie update. You could hold off for 5.1 and not miss out on anything if you are worried about losing features. I didn't notice anything lost on mine. The change log just says bug fixes and performance enhancements. I did see some posts that says it helped video recording some.

I installed it, and the camera seems to focus a little quicker. It may be all in my head, but I'm not sure I notice anything else. At lease no obvious problems.

It's getting hammered in reviews and, multiple times, HTC has been telling ppl to uninstall the camera updates.

If you pay too much attention to reviews on Google Play Store you would never install anything. Mostly people complaining to be honest.

There is nothing wrong with this update. I haven't noticed any difference really.
