Update Notification On My Verizon Edge

I was just notified about a new update on my Verizon Edge. Any idea what it may be?

Nothing important! :-/ Just a security update....
I guess 5.1.1 is a nightmare or a curse for VZW. Maybe we'll get it since TMo handed it out yesterday... LoL

Not a thing.
Hell I couldn't even find the description for the update on VZ's website! Simply put: it's a security patch.

This is the Stagefright security patch update. Verizon also said there were other tweaks and fixes included as well. Since the update, my overall performance and battery life have definitely improved. The lag and freezing issues were so bad before that I installed the Cleansweep app to combat it...and used it frequently! Now... I just uninstalled Cleansweep a few days ago. Things have gotten dramatically better. No overheating, lag, or freezing issues since the update. And yes, its still 5.0.1, but Verizon did something here for sure. Its been about 2 weeks and so far so good. I feel like I have a usable phone again!

Just a heads up, there's a new software update rolling out, still 5.0.1 (really? -_-) just security patches (such a general description) Why can't we just get 5.1.1?? Note 4 has had it for over 6 months... 6.0 for the edge is set to be released in April! We won't get it until probably Fall 2017, by then I hope I'd have upgraded

Still set to get marshmallow, Samsung's timeline is set for April 2016 last I heard... But who knows, its Verizon haha
