I'm on the S3 and also received an update to EUI 5.8019S (previously 5.8018S).

I took a quick look at the change log and didn't notice anything truly substantial. Other than the monthly security update. Which is rather important! I'm impressed with how quickly they turned the update out. If they keep that up, this phone increased in significance

This new update made a significant volume increase to the speakers output on my phone.

The speaker volume was okay before the update and now it is very good. Much louder with solid bass and no "tinny" sound at high volume settings.

I almost thought it was placebo, but I noticed the same thing.

There were lot of fixed actually, and most importantly around apps needing to run in background for notifications like Gmail, email app, or any chat app - before the update they were getting killed
