Update to Android 12 causes battery icon greyed out on status bar.

I recently followed the system software instructions suggested by Android on my OnePlus 7T. Since the update my battery icon on the status bar has greyed out & incorrectly shows 0% battery no matter if the battery is charged all the way or else.

The phone seems to function properly with no apparent glitches other than the greyed out icon. I would appreciate if someone could help me with this.

I have the 1+7 t pro McLaren still on Android 11 , so this happened after your update to Andriod 12?
Try safe mode?

Yes this happened after I updated my OnePlus 7T to Android 12. I checked in Safe Mode as well & the issue persists there as well. I've attached the screenshot of the same.
The battery Icon still shows 0% even though it's 25% charged. Apart from that when I go to settings>battery> Show battery Notification is greyed out.
