Update today

Tried last night and today, install failed both times (im rooted).

Is there any way to make my phone stop telling me theres an update it wont install?

This is bull. When i was rooted it said i had an update, downloaded it and of course failed. Now Im home and unrooted and there's no update. Is there a manual way to do the update plz somebody say yes!!

We have two GS2s, purchased from the same store, at the same time. Both stock, non-rooted. Mine updated, my partner's will not.

That being said, the blue overscroll glow in the browser *sucks*. If you're zoomed in and you try to scroll, it pops up constantly on the side of the display. Very, very annoying.

I believe this update has fixed the AP mobile data drain. After the update I switched the auto refresh in the widget to never and removed it from my home screen and in the past 24 hours it has used zero data. Before if it was set to never, it could easily use up 300 megs a day.

That was brave of you. Thought it might contain a fix for it as well but couldn't run the risk of launching the app, only to find out it doesn't have a fix for the rogue app.

The Blue Overscroll sucks and messes with eyes bad. Hopefully enough people will complain and they'll offer a fix.

I'll have to confirm that as well. I've been keeping track for over 24 hours now and so far ap has used zero. Zip. Zilch. Before that, with 14 days left on my billing cycle, it had used over 900mb of data between my data and wifi.

Thank you samsung.

I'm wondering if my phone was trying to receive the update. NoLed isn't working right and when my phone isn't in silent mode it says it is on the menu but notification says it isn't in slient mode. I checked to see if there was an update and it gives two options: check for updates(which I can choose) and continue update. I'm debating on if I should do a factory reset.

I tried the battery pull with no luck. I just did a factory reset and it seems to be back to normal. I didn't want to go that route but it seems to be back to normal. That's what matters.

something must be wrong with your because mine doesnt do that until i reach the border of the webpage.

You know what's weird. A few days ago I got notice of the update. I downloaded it, it tried installing and failed (rooted stock), and I haven't gotten notice of the update again.
I'll probably wait for some quality ICS roms to come out then install one of them, so not too worried about an incremental update like this...

All I'm saying is that it's poorly implemented, too sensitive and the glow is way too large when it is visible, taking up a good 20% of the display. It doesn't behave the same way as the rest of the UI.

When zooming, it's also quite buggy. Sometimes, it appears inward toward the center of the display instead of flush with the edge. I'll try to make a video showing what I mean.

Just noticed after my update my battery life sucks, android os was at 92% did a battery pull put it back in after a few minutes and went down to 90%. Can anyone help me with this?

yea try clearing your RAM in the task manager, it usually resets my OS % along with all the other stuff if its getting too out of control.

. Do it once not frequently.
