Update with mod

So I have a sprint galaxy s4 and I have a native hotspot mod installed on 4.3. I have unrooted my phone and now there is an update for my phone... I want to update my phone without bricking. How can I uninstall mod or can I update safely? I saw comments on the video I watched pn how to install mod saying they got their phones bricked vause they got wrong version. Let me know... thanks
