I just downloaded & installed, on my Verizon 5G in Arizona. This does say 6.1.1 unlike on the S24U.

Honestly, not sure if it was already there or not, but noticed after the update that Galaxy AI options are included in Settings, if you are interested in any of those capabilities.

And in a surprisingly rapid turnaround, Samsung posts another update for the S9+ only three weeks after the previous one. Just received and installed this on 24 January:

FYI, I just got an update last night for my S9.
BYA6 is the software and it has January 1 25, security patch.

Checked on my S9+ this morning -- nothing new. Server reports I have the latest update (BXL6). Must be a staged roll-out of the newest update. I am on Wifi-only in KC area.

Interesting observation re: version numbers. I just received new update for my Tab S9+ last night; despite the version reported by lateck2 above, my new version ends in BYA5, not BYA6. Here are the details:

UI version: 6.1.1
Android: 14
Version: X810XXS5BYA5 / X810OXM5BYA5
Size: 351.15 MB
Security Patch: February 1, 2025

I just double checked my software and it is BYA6. But my security patch is January 1. I have a 9+, 5G on Verizon.
You most likely have a newer version.

I suspect the difference is you have a 5G enabled 9+, while mine is factory unlocked Wifi-only.
