Its hard to say if and when Samsung will update the device. It might be a while depending on what they update it to, be it latest KitKat or Lollipop.

I would be disappointed if it wasn't updated to lollipop as I upgraded from a tab 2 to 4 only recently. My nexus7 2012 has been upgraded, and I'm waiting for my one m8 to join it.

I went from m8 to note 4 to m8 to nexus 6

My tab 4 had a software update of 99mb last night not sure what changed.
