Updated Android Wear 2.0 and now LG Urbane Watch (W150) no longer works

[Android Central Question]

All watch can do now is tell time. No apps there, it doesn't get text messages, nothing. Tried factory reset, tried downloading older version of Android Wear which Samsung Galaxy S8+ does not allow, but I worked around it, but then older version makes it mandatory to newest version of Android Wear. In any event, new Android Wear made watch non-functional. I have Verizon>
