Updated SBF Instructions from GB

Hey Guys, My computer can't find drivers when I plug the phone in. I can't see it in RSD Lite because of that so I can't follow through with the process.

I've been bricked for over a week now and would greatly appreciate any help.

Thanks

I am really not getting your problem because it is such a simple process. When you go to bootloader are you unplugging device from pc and powered off device before pressing the volume up and down and power at same time?

Yes, I am following the directions exactly. The problem may be that I am using Fusion on a Mac, I'm not running windows natively. Do you think this could be the issue?

Basically after I plug the phone in the computer says "Found new hardware" and then I start getting all the dialogue boxes to search for drivers, none of which work if I try searching for drivers.

Help!

6.Start (Device will switch to bootloader and begin the flashing process and will reboot when it is complete.)
NOTE: Sometime installation hangs at 100% and reports to manual reboot, at this point you have to pull battery, unplug cable and enter back into Bootloader mode by pressing Volume Down + Camera + Power and then plug cable back in. RSDLite should read Complete Successful after connecting and then you can power down,
I am stuck at step 6, I tried rebooting the way it said and I keep getitng the infinite boot loop.

Stuck!!

Ok I was running a GB version w/ numbers .57 ? (sorry cant remember but definitely an older GB version) and attempted to drop maderstcok onto sd card. everything went well until the very end w/ a fail on the radio. Now im stuck at the red M and have been reading and trying different things to no avail. I can open up the bootloader and connect to RSD lite but not sure what file I need to load up. all of the files I see are zips. Any thoughts ? help?

so after step 6 have you just power up this way so your doing a factory reset before powering up normally ?

7. Power up into recovery by pressing Home and Power
8. Select Search (Right Button)
9. Select Wipe Data / Factory Restore
10. After complete select Restart
11. Done.

and then power up normally

You need the sbf file VRZ_MB810_2.3.34_1FF_01.sbf to use with RSD lite. The link to that was dead in the sticky Official full SBF 2.3.34 available I tried it , also the sbf isnt a zip file.
PS : if sbf is needed might try the OP of this thread to see if that one works, and ask if any more info needed on using it

Yup, after step 6, just shut down and reboot into recovery holding home and power (step 7) and then follow the steps. Everything should work!

Thanks for the response! Im currently downloading two files hoping one will work (taking freaking forever!). The problem I had before and why I went towards maderstcok was that I kept getting instant failure notices while trying to use RSD lite. Im hoping a "correct" SBF file will do the trick.
Does this sounds like Im on the right track? Anything else I can do other than RSD a SBF stock file?

You have to boot back into bootloader mode... You are tring to boot normally and this wont work because you have to boot into bootloader and then hard reset device before you do a normal power up...

Theres a link in the first post for everything you will need, all files has been verified so there is no need to download from other sources..

FIXED

The problem was Fusion on the Mac. Fixed it no problem on a PC.

So Im also trying to RSD back to stock on fusion/ mac and keep getting "failed flashing process" immediately. I have the latest versions and drivers to my knowledge but this is an instantaneous fail. Does Fusion really not work at all or is something else going on?

FYI, just flashed back to stock 340 w/ fusion by moving the SBF file to drive:C Worked like a charm! Thanks for all the help

Ok i really need help I'm getting a failed during RSD. it says: "Failed flashing process. Fail flashing process. Interface AP-OS: Error verifying Code Group 33 checksums. File: 0x4125, Phone: 0xED43 (0x4007031); phone connected." i am now stuck without a phone and do not know what to do if anyone could please help.

After doing a quick search I found a reported solution but I cant verify, but read about it at http://groups.google.com/group/mobclix-android-sdk/msg/c8693d47f53481b6

Hope that can help...

Another thing to try is changing USB port and also cable if you have one to isolate the problem..

Ok, i'm having a hell of a time trying to get RSD to see my phone. Tried installing new USB drivers, tried RSD 4.9, tried different USB ports on my comp, tried booting in bootloader first and then plugging it in, tried plugging it in first AND THEN booting into bootloader, tried a different cable to see if that was the problem... Nothing. My phone is stuck on the red 'M' logo, so I figured I would SBF back to Froyo. But, RSD just wont find my damn phone...

Any solutions?

I am having issues getting RSDLite letting me start. I selected the SBF file and in the device list i have the Model S Flash OMAP3630 MI. I have set the settings to Debug Mode. Is there something i am doing wrong?
