I took the plunge to the DK28, and now I cannot use my camera. I keep getting a "closed unexpectedly" message that disappears after a quick second, and my camera function will not open.

Also, I am getting the same message from my music player app- "The application Music Player (process com.android.music) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" and there is a Force close message you have to click to exit the message

any suggestions ??

Sounds like you need to reinstall a different 2.2 ROM. Go on over to the ROM forum and read the stickies andx follow directions closely.

My 1st try at 2.2 was a disaster, but then I installed the Quantum 2.5 ROM by the instructions in the ext4 thread, and almost everything works great, incuding camera and camera apps. (I did have one episode of phone seeming to forget the custom-named bluetooth connection to my truck. But the default BRCM-named connection seems to be remembered fine.)

So dive on in and enjoy the 2.2 goodness with a better ROM. It's worth it!

Or, if you don't want to change to a Rom, just DK28, go back to Odin, reload DK18 (revert to 2.1), then reload DK28.

I did this - had issues with GPS and battery, went back. Decided to try again. Second time has zero issues. No idea why, used same downloads saved on computer. But it might have to do with reboots. And it took 3.5 minutes each time to load.

I still haven't worked up the courage to go with Rom, still thinking, but don't know which one to do, especially since I'm happy and it does everything I want.

Yes, you can go back to stock.. You could try doing the process over again and see how that favors for you, or wait for the official update.

Best of luck to you.

...and everybody keeps wondering why Samsung is taking so long to get Froyo out on the Epic...sounds like you need to wait for the tested version.
