I did a factory reset on my LG V30, because I was advised to by support due to a not connecting to Wi Fi issue, but now after the reset, my phone is searching for updates for at least an hour, is this normal?

How long the updates take will depend on how many apps you have reinstalled following the reset.

So constantly checking Updates for over an Hour or more, ...might be Normal? ..The phone only has whatever Apps. that came with it originally!

When you did the reset, did you tell it to auto-install all the previous apps you had downloaded?

Is this play store updates or software update? Looks like you still having the wifi issue , try rebooting your router or different wifi see it's same .

After the factory Reset the phone wants to do it's setup, and it seems there is No way of getting past it! ..It just keeps checking for Updates, and my home PC's Modem/Router WiFi does not connect to it still! It just keeps saying it's not the right Password! but it is! I took it out today and it's been connecting to store WiFi all over the place, so it's obviously an issue with my home Xfinity wifi.

Did you do a full factory reset of the router? Or check to see if there are any firmware updates for the router?

Sometimes the problem boils down to some odd incompatibility between that particular brand/model of router and the phone's firmware. Unfortunately, that means replacing your router.
