updating LG Ally?

can anyone help me to manually update a LG Ally?

I am not sure if you already have the phone updated to 2.2. If not here's a link:

This one requires you to root your phone if you want the Froyo update this way:

As far as a Gingerbread update, I don't think there is a GB update for the Ally.

I got a text this week saying i had to download an ally tool . it said ur lg will receive a software update soon. im 2.2.1 right now so we will see
